Product Introduction
Modern multifunctional water-based silicone surface additive, well suited to very low co-solvent formulations.
As systems move toward high-solids, solvent-free, and water-based formats, additives must deliver broad wetting, leveling, defoaming, and anti-cratering/anti-contamination performance—especially on low-polarity substrates.
BYK-3483 provides wetting, leveling, and defoaming across water-based systems from low to high polarity, striking a balance between defoaming power and compatibility even with extremely low co-solvent content. It extends the BYK-3480 series scope and can also be used in solvent-free UV-curable systems.
